Rebecca Eustis
Rebecca Eustis, RYT discovered yoga in 1994 while in graduate school and recently graduated from the Charlottesville Yoga School’s 200-hr. training program. Although graduate school was good for the brain, it was not so great for the body or spirit, and yoga has helped her to relax and stay healthy. She believes it to be a powerful physical practice that, combined with a dash of philosophy and a sprinkle of spirituality, offers lifelong benefits, teaching us how to balance ease and effort, both on and off the mat. Her gentle but invigorating flow classes place equal emphasis on building strength and balance, breathing mindfully, increasing flexibility, strengthening mental focus, and relaxing into the moment.
Rebecca holds a BA from Colgate University and a PhD in Russian literature from the University of Virginia and has enjoyed a wide variety of jobs, from research historian at Monticello to associate editor and conference coordinator at CFA Institute. She is currently a freelance editor. Off the yoga mat, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, knitting, cycling, hiking, and cooking.
