Nia, Stretch, Alexander Technique

Chris Friedman is an Alexander Technique teacher, a Black Belt Nia teacher, and the founder and director of Studio 206, a movement education center in Charlottesville, which she opened in 1998.

She is on the faculty of the Alexander Technique Training Center (ATTiC), currently located at Studio 206, and has maintained her practice as an independent AT teacher for more than 20 years; her work with Nia began in 1995 when she completed her first White Belt.  In addition, Chris holds an MA in English Literature, and in 2010 completed Jessica Wolf’s postgraduate Alexander Technique course, ‘The Art of Breathing.’  Her devotion to the wellness of bodies and expression is showcased in her refined and passionate teaching style.

Chris values her work as an educator. She approaches teaching with poise and preparedness. She hopes to see you in Nia, Stretch/Yoga, or an Alexander technique lesson at Studio 206 soon.
